5:00 p.m. – Registration 5:25 p.m. – Welcome 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. – Legal Ethics for In-House Counsel Skadden is pleased to present an interactive ethics CLE program focused on key professional responsibility issues impacting in-house counsel. The program will be led by Skadden partner and general counsel Lawrence S. Spiegel, who will examine recent high-stakes, high-profile matters shaping current ethics trends. Topics will include conflicts of interest, confidentiality and privilege, and the use of generative AI.
The discussion on conflicts of interest will focus on those most relevant to in-house attorneys, particularly matters involving former employers and personal interests.
In addressing confidentiality and privilege, the program will explore nuanced challenges that arise when in-house counsel interact with company employees, affiliated entities, and when providing both legal and business advice.
The session will also cover the ethical considerations associated with the use of generative AI, including the implications for legal departments incorporating this emerging technology into their practice.
