Overview (Program Summary)
International nonprofits operate in an increasingly complex legal and regulatory environment. This session will offer a practical overview of the nuts-and-bolts issues that in‑house and corporate counsel need to understand when working with or within these organisations, including structure and governance, local compliance and fundraising, sanctions/AML and partner risk, and broader risk management. We will also touch on employment and safeguarding, data protection and cybersecurity, privileges and immunities, and disputes and liability—translating familiar corporate concepts into the INGO context and highlighting concrete take‑aways for legal practice in this area.
