This presentation will provide attendees with foundational immigration knowledge and information on risk mitigation, compliance, and strategic workforce planning. Providing an overview of immigration laws and discussion of hot topics including strategic immigration planning; recent developments and trends; common pitfalls and risk areas; corporate compliance obligations; and resources and next steps.

Cost:

Featured Speakers:
Kaitlyn, originally from Michigan, is a seasoned attorney specializing in global employment law, currently serving as counsel at GSK. Kaitlyn has dedicated her career to advising on labor and employment matters, ERISA, taxation, benefits, and immigration. Her expertise spans complex workplace issues in both domestic and international contexts.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Kaitlyn is an avid ultramarathon runner, an enthusiastic traveler, and enjoys spending time with her corgi–mini-Australian shepherd Zoey.
David’s legal practice focuses on immigration-related matters and trade-related issues, representing both individuals and companies. David is a member of Maynard Nexsen’s employment & labor, and construction practice groups, and he leads the firm's immigration practice.
David assists multinational companies with international workforces to expedite the movement of workers and goods. His experience in the immigration field includes representing business professionals with non-immigrant visas, intra-company transfers of employees to the United States and to other countries, visas based on investments made into the United States, and consular processing of visa petitions. He also assists businesses and individuals with immigrant visa and permanent residency matters, including labor certifications, national interest waivers, employment-based petitions, and investment-based petitions. His experience has focused on manufacturing operations, health care, and technology companies from abroad and in the United States.
