Commercial Leasing Tips and Tricks for In-House Counsel CLE

In-house counsel are often asked to review commercial leases even if the in-house counsel does not come from a real estate background.  This presentation will cover common mistakes, opportunities, and negotiation strategies for commercial leases, especially aspects of leasing that can substantially increase a tenant’s costs or jeopardize a tenant’s business operations at an important location.  In particular, this session will focus on financial differences in common lease structures, hidden fees and charges frequently included in landlord-drafted leases, and key risks that can disrupt tenant operations or poise outsize legal risks.

This presentation will be led by Adam Falkof, a commercial leasing partner at Quarles & Brady LLP with significant national experience with office, retail, industrial, and data center leases  ranging from a 1,000 square foot chain smoothie store to large global headquarters with $250MM+ of rental obligations.
