ACC Southern California
Chumash Museum Event

Please join the Well-Being Committee as we travel back through time on a guided gallery tour and nature hike at the Chumash Museum! First, we’ll explore the art and artifacts in the galleries (about 1 hour). Then we’ll walk to the replica village, learning about native plants along the way and how the Chumash used them in their daily lives (about 1 hour; mostly flat).

Date: Sunday, April 19
Time: Meet outside the front door at 11:45 am. The tour will start at noon, and we expect to finish the walk by 2 pm
Location: Chumash Museum, 3290 Lang Ranch Parkway, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362
Parking: Free on-site and street
Other: The museum does not sell any food or drink, nor is any allowed in the galleries. Please bring your own water for the hike if you wish. After the walk, we’re hoping to find a picnic table to enjoy a BYO post-walk snack together.

This is a family-friendly event. The Well-Being Committee will cover the cost for ACC members. If you’d like to bring guests, non-member tickets are available for $20/ticket.

The Chumash Museum is a historical site and living history center dedicated to preserving and honoring the traditions, histories, and contributions of the Chumash people. It serves as a gathering place for Native and non-Native communities to connect the past with the present and build our future together. We hope to see you there!
