Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC Hong KongAcross APAC, organisations are facing expanding expectations around anti-bribery and corruption, modern slavery, human rights, and broader supply-chain accountability - often in operating environments where visibility beyond direct (third-party) suppliers is limited, leverage is uneven, and internal legal and compliance resources are stretched.
Increasingly, risk sits deeper in the value chain, including fourth parties (suppliers to suppliers) that organisations may not even be aware form part of their operating footprint. Traditional onboarding, screening, and contractual controls often provide only partial insight into how risk evolves once commercial relationships are in motion.
In this session, panellist will explore how legal, compliance, procurement, and risk teams can take a structured, risk-based approach to identifying and prioritising supply-chain risk across complex, multi-tier APAC value chains, what reasonable and proportion due diligence looks like and how whistleblowing and speak-up mechanisms can act as critical early-warning signals.
