This interactive CLE will help in-house Counsel think proactively about getting their "house" in order on immigration compliance. This will include preparing for potential ICE enforcement activity by ensuring internal teams are trained on how to respond if agents arrive, conducting i-9 self-audits, and establishing a clear i-9 response team. It will include critical immigration updates for those navigating the challenges of advising Human Resources (HR), business managers, department leaders, and others regarding the legal implications. It will prepare in-house Counsel to stay ahead of evolving regulatory changes, including the shift toward wage-based selection in the H-1B lottery and the $100,000 H-1B fee, and be prepared for increased scrutiny through Department of Labor of FDNS site visits. Attendees will walk away with practical, actionable steps to minimizing risk and maintaining compliance within their organization.
