ACC Austin and Latham & Watkins Volunteer Event for The Center of Child Protection

Help end the cycle of child abuse and join ACC-Austin and our sponsor Latham & Watkins for a Birthday Box assembly project at The Center for Child Protection at 9am on Saturday, April 4th.

The Center for Child Protection is a nationally accredited children’s advocacy center and the only nonprofit in Travis County involved in the investigation and prosecution of crimes against children. All Center services utilize a trauma-informed approach with children who have been physically or sexually abused or have witnessed a violent crime. The Birthday Box initiative helps restore a sense of normalcy and joy by providing children with all the essential supplies needed to make their birthday special. ACC-Austin and Latham & Watkins have provided the funding needed to support this Birthday Box assembly and wrapping project to make each box extra special for a child in need. Following the activity, participants will have the opportunity to take a tour of the facility and gain a deeper understanding of the Center's services and the critical impact the Center has in the fight against child abuse in our community.

Upon completion of the project, we will head over to a lunch.
