A program hosted by:
ACC Central FloridaACC Central FL friends will gather for a small-group member meetup lunch on Friday 12/12. As part of our ongoing partnership with the Center for Health & Wellbeing in Winter Park, ACC Central Florida has reserved seating for this Food as Medicine cooking class and lunch!
Join us for a special culinary medicine class with Anu Saigal, MD, a breast surgical oncologist at AdventHealth and Allison Harrell, Registered Dietitian and Culinary Medicine Specialist, as we dive into the world of international plant-based flavors. In this hands-on session, you’ll learn how to create a fragrant quinoa biryani, a comforting Instant Pot dal and rice, and a delicately spiced almond cardamom cake. We’ll show you how these whole-food, plant-based dishes can be both delicious and nourishing. Whether you’re interested in cancer prevention or just eager to explore new flavors, this class will offer practical tips and a delightful culinary experience.
This is a demonstration-style cooking program, so our in-person attendees should prepare to sit back, relax and let our chef prepare the meal while you enjoy the delicious items. All attendees will receive a booklet for the recipes.
Seating for this event is limited. A waitlist will be established if capacity is reached. If you are unable to attend after registering, please cancel your seat so another member may attend.
