In this final session of the series, Partners Georgie Farrant and Anne Petterd will unpack some of the traps that can catch even experienced suppliers to government and recent areas of focus for government procurement.
Key points of discussion will include:
• Scrutiny: Ensuring the business understands the implications that can come with rules for spending public money and oversight of government projects.
• Geopolitics in Procurement: Expanded checks—especially on foreign ownership and control.
• Public Official Risk: Knowing when performance of a contract may result in the supplier or its personnel being deemed to be a public official.
• Conflicts and Corruption in Procurement: How to mitigate risk.
• Limited Legal Remedies: When tenders or contracts go wrong, being aware of limited recourse against government bodies.
We hope you'll be able to join us.
