Bruce Campbell-Fraser, Partner and Perth Office Lead – SEC Newgate
Bruce is a highly respected and well-connected public and government affairs professional, with extensive political, policy and media experience. He has been deeply involved with public policy issues across complex industry sectors including resources, utilities, infrastructure and health.
Prior to Newgate, Bruce was Head of Media and Government Relations at Western Australia’s Water Corporation. Prior to that, Bruce was Manager of Public Affairs at the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia, where he developed a practical and in-depth knowledge of the state’s resources sector.
Bruce has served in senior advisory roles to Western Australian Premiers, and Federal and State Government Ministers. He has highly developed knowledge of political processes including effective campaigning, advocacy, strategic engagement and policy formation.
With a strong background in advising executive leadership on media and issues management, crisis communications and stakeholder engagement, Bruce is committed to protecting brand and reputations whilst achieving outcomes.
Briony Pole, Partner, MinterEllison
Briony advises clients on their day to day IR, employment and safety matters including enterprise bargaining strategy, industrial disputes, workplace investigations and disciplinary matters. She builds strong relationships with her clients and develops a deep understanding of their business, so she can ensure her advice is tailored to suit their needs. She regularly appears in the Fair Work Commission and Federal Courts in all manner of industrial disputes, dismissal claims and entitlement disputes.

Katherine Whitehead, General Counsel & Company Secretary, Crown Perth
Katherine Whitehead is the General Counsel & Company Secretary at Crown Perth, where she leads legal and corporate governance functions with a focus on strategic transformation and regulatory excellence. With over 25 years’ experience across construction, resources, aviation, health, and utilities, Katherine brings commercially astute, inclusive leadership to complex legal environments. She is passionate about mentoring and building legal capability through cross-functional learning and proactive engagement.

Alex specialises in advising on major projects in the energy and resources, infrastructure and property development sectors.
