Overview (Program Summary)

The recently ended Supreme Court term was regularly in the news for opinions related to policies of the current administration. While many of those opinions drew a fair amount of scrutiny and press, the most discussed of them are not likely to impact many employers. Nevertheless, there were several decisions that could have an impact on claims against employers, including the elements of establishing a claim for discrimination, claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and class actions. Christopher Hennessy, a litigation attorney with Cozen O’Connor, will discuss several of these cases and look ahead to the upcoming Supreme Court term for other cases where the Court’s opinion might have an impact.
