ACC NortheastEvolving U.S. trade policy has created significant uncertainty and new supply chain challenges for businesses. Join us for a panel discussion featuring Boston-area in-house counsel executives from various industries plus attorneys from Baker McKenzie. We’ll discuss the strategies companies are using to mitigate the effects of increased trade complexity, supply disruptions, and increased costs, including tariffs. The panel will discuss short-term and long-term tactics, including:
- Managing customer expectations and relationships;
- Protecting against and passing on increased costs and the implications on contracts;
- Contract disputes and force majeure claims;
- Shifting supply chains efficiently in accordance with regulatory considerations;
- Strategic mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations;
- Diversifying supply chains; and,
- Changes to transfer pricing.
Attorneys from the US, EU, the United Kingdom, and South America focused on M&A, trade, reorganizations, tax, and commercial will be present to add different perspectives. Questions and discussions from the audience will be encouraged.
