The presentation explores the rapidly evolving regulatory framework and litigation trends surrounding per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Attendees will gain insights into federal and state regulatory initiatives and enforcement actions, scientific developments, and emerging legal strategies related to PFAS that should be top-of-mind for counsel involved in environmental or product regulatory compliance, including in transactional settings, as well as consumer class action and toxic tort defense.
Speakers
Erin Brooks, Office Managing Partner, Chicago, BCLP
Erin is an environmental attorney whose nationwide practice focuses on brownfield real estate redevelopment and environmental litigation. Erin has deep regulatory, transactional, and litigation experience with respect to strategically advising clients as to PFAS and emerging contaminants.
Christian Bromley, Partner, Atlanta / Los Angeles, BCLP
Christian co-leads the firm's Enviornmental Toxic Tort Practice. He represents clients in complex commercial disputes and mass tort litigation ranging from consumer claims, product liability, and environmental contamination.
Nora Faris, Associate, Denver / St. Louis, BCLP
Nora counsels clients in the consumer products and food and beverage industries on chemical regulatory compliance, product and packaging stewardship (including extended producer responsibility requirements), and marketing claim substantiation, as well as consumer class action litigation defense.
