Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC Greater PhiladelphiaAt this roundtable event, Fisher Phillips attorneys will address the status of consumer privacy laws at the state and federal level, as well as the use of AI-driven security solutions.
Since the passage of California’s CCPA, 19 other states have passed consumer privacy laws, 8 of which take effect in 2025. With a single party in control of the White House and legislature, will we finally see a federal privacy bill that will unify privacy regulations and pre-empt the existing patchwork of state laws?
Additionally, AI is revolutionizing nearly every industry, and cybersecurity is no exception. As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated, AI-driven security solutions are rapidly evolving to detect, prevent, and mitigate cyber risks. However, with the rise of AI-powered cybersecurity comes a host of legal, regulatory, and ethical challenges. We will discuss those challenges and how companies may navigate them.
Discussion Leaders:
- Risa B. Boerner, CIPP/US, CIPM, Partner, Fisher Phillips
- Daniel Pepper, CIPP/US, Partner, Fisher Phillips
Please note, no CLE credit will be provided for this program.
