ACC ChicagoOur speakers, along with Beacon Hill Legal, will address common issues and responsibilities, such as business filing obligations and the division of legal duties between the legal department and other departments such as HR, marketing, IT. Key considerations an in-house lawyer must navigate will be discussed, including some recent legal updates, as well as best practices for managing internal clients effectively.
Speakers
Kendall Mills is the Head of Ethics and Compliance, Americas at JLL. In addition to her responsibilities ensuring compliance with laws in North, South and Central America, she is responsible JLL’s global Ethics Everywhere program. Kendall is a trusted advisor to senior leadership on complex matters including: investigations, compliance strategy, and high-stakes business decisions. Kendall partners across regions to align compliance practices with global frameworks, deliver impactful training, and foster a strong speak-up culture. Her work reflects the belief that ethical conduct is both a legal requirement and a business advantage—building trust, strengthening reputation, and driving sustainable success.
Liz Epstein is the Deputy General Counsel and a Principal at Grant Thornton. As Deputy General Counsel, she oversees the legal contracting affairs of the firm's operations, providing guidance and support on compliance and risk management matters. She has a strong background in corporate and commercial law, having worked as an associate attorney at Winston & Strawn and Stein Ray LLP before joining Grant Thornton in 2009. She has a JD from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and a BA in History from Vassar College.
Zachary (Zack) Raimi is an experienced private-company general counsel. He has broad experience in many areas of law including M&A, contracts, litigation, employment law, intellectual property, corporate governance, data privacy and compliance. Currently, Zack is the General Counsel of CoolSys, a commercial HVAC and refrigeration servicing company. As CoolSys’ General Counsel and a member of the Executive Team, Zack oversees CoolSys’ legal matters and helps the company achieve its strategic goals while managing legal risk. Prior to joining CoolSys, Zack served as the General Counsel, Americas for HH Global, an international marketing services company, where he helped lead the company through significant growth while advising on legal, regulatory and employee matters. Before HH Global, Zack worked at Allstate Insurance Company and at Bollinger, Ruberry & Garvey. Zack began his career as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
