Speakers
Alyx Pattison is a Director at Burford Capital focused on originating new business with law firms and corporate legal departments based out of the Chicago office. Ms. Pattison has well over a decade of experience as a litigator and prior to joining Burford was a Partner in the litigation departments of Akerman LLP and Katten LLP, where she focused on the defense of publicly traded companies in securities class actions, M&A litigation and shareholder derivative suits. Ms. Pattison received a B.A. in political science from The University of Utah and a J.D. degree from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
Andrew Farthing, Director Burford Capital, Texas
Andrew Farthing joined Burford Capital as a Director on the Case Managment team in 2024. He is responsible for managing matters in Burford's US portfolio. Before joining Burford, he managed a worldwide organization and potfolio of commercial litigation as a Director at Apple Inc., where he worked for more than a decade. Prior to his time at Apple, Andrew was an associate at Latham & Watkins LLP and began his legal career as a clerk to Hon. William B. Chandler III of the Delaware Court of Chancery. Mr. Farthing has a JD, Order of the Coif, from the University of Southern California School of Law, and a BS, Business Administration, from the University of California, Berkeley.
