An engaging CPD professional skills session with Tony Frost, acclaimed Australian executive coach and author of The Professional (Wiley).
In this session tailored for in-house counsel, Frost shares insights from his guide to leadership and integrity in modern corporate life—now more relevant than ever in the age of Generative AI.
As legal teams grapple with the opportunities and ethical complexities of AI adoption, Frost challenges professionals to lead with clarity, courage, and conscience.
Drawing on themes from the book, he explores how lawyers can build trust, navigate power structures, and maintain personal standards while influencing from within. He argues that true professionalism, especially in the face of disruptive technologies, is not about technical mastery alone, but about moral courage, emotional discipline, and the willingness to take responsibility when it counts.

Tony Frost, Principal, Frost Leadership Consulting & Author
Tony Frost’s first 34-year career was as a tax lawyer and Chartered Accountant. For the last seven years, he was Managing Partner of leading tax firm Greenwoods & Herbert Smith Freehills. Earlier in his career, Tony spent five years working in-house in Westpac’s tax group. Tony returned to Sydney University in 2019 to undertake a Master of Science in Coaching Psychology. Since then, in his second career, he has been an executive coach, mentor and leadership consultant. Tony’s book, The Professional - A Playbook to Unleash Your Potential and Futureproof Your Success, published by Wiley, has been released recently: https://www.amazon.com.au/Professional-Tony-Frost/dp/1394331169. The book is specifically designed to be of interest to professionals working in-house, as well as those in professional service firms. Leading Australian businessman David Gonski AC said this about the book in his Foreword: “… as I read it, I had the recurring feeling that I wished it or an equivalent had existed years ago when I started out on my professional journey.” And: "Many have written in the areas Tony is exploring but none have done so—in my view—with the light, practical approach and at the same time the depth that I believe Tony has achieved.”
