Imagine this … Your computer is frozen. A strange message comes up on the screen. You receive a call from the Head of IT that there has been a cyber-attack on your organisation and there is a ransom demand. Your phone starts ringing from multiple stakeholders in the business… what do you now?

As In-house Counsel for your organisation, your next steps in this complex decision-making process surrounding cyber-attacks and ransom payments are critical for your business.

Our panel of experts will discuss:

  1. Legal considerations: Delve into the legal ramifications of responding to ransom demands, exploring the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements.
  2. Ethical dilemmas: Navigate the ethical nuances of paying or refraining from paying a ransom, examining the broader implications for corporate responsibility.
  3. Practical strategies: Gain insights into proactive cybersecurity strategies aimed at preventing and mitigating the impact of ransomware attacks.

This discussion promises to be a comprehensive exploration of the multifaceted aspects surrounding ransom demands, providing attendees with valuable perspectives and actionable strategies.
