Join the Intellectual Property Network and the Sports & Entertainment Law Network for a discussion with Scott Bearby, senior vice president and general counsel for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Prior to taking the role in January 2013, his career at the NCAA focused on media, intellectual property, and championship matters; he was lead NCAA inside counsel for all of the NCAA's television, digital and other multi-media agreements for the Division I Men's Basketball Championship and other NCAA championships since 1999. In 2023, Mr. Bearby was appointed as an arbitrator within the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS), the international and Olympic sport dispute resolution organization. He has been an adjunct faculty member at both Indiana University McKinney School of Law and Indiana University Maurer School of Law, and is a member of the Indiana Sports Corporation Executive Committee and Board.
