Germany is India's largest trading partner in Europe and has consistently been among India's top global partners. In recent years, there have been several initiatives undertaken by the governments of both countries to strengthen bilateral cooperation and increase investments and collaboration. There continues to be immense potential for growth in the corridor.
The German Supply Chain Act introduced by the German government imposes legal obligations on companies, mandating them to conduct thorough due diligence to identify and mitigate supply chain risks. Starting from 1st January 2024, the Act will also impact companies with over 1000 employees, in addition to those already affected by the 4000-employee threshold.
