Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC NortheastHeavily relied upon yet often misunderstood, attorney-client privilege is an essential component of any attorney-client relationship. The privilege is even more complicated in an in-house setting where in-house counsel often wear multiple hats, communicate with a variety of stakeholders, and must make quick decisions.
Please join us for this NextGen Starter Brief as we explore attorney-client privilege. Preti Flaherty Partner, Ben Piper, will identify some of the key issues and pitfalls concerning the attorney-client privilege in an in-house setting. Issues covered will include:
- business versus legal advice;
- with whom and under what circumstances privileged information may be shared without waiver;
- privilege between parents, subsidiaries, and other affiliates; and,
- key distinctions between the attorney-client privilege and the work-product doctrine.
This session will help you brush up on seminal authority and flag issues to help you think more critically about your attorney-client privilege practices.
Register below. Dial-in credentials will be provided to registrants 24 hours prior to the webinar.
