We will explore the ins and outs of receiving and sending demand letters to third parties. We will look at best practices and internal structures geared toward minimizing legal liabilities on receiving cease and desist letter and notices of infringement and play out what steps may need to be taken by the c-suite or counsel. We will also discuss if and when sending a demand or notice letter makes sense and review examples of what has been successful and what has created challenges.
