Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC New York City

Call for volunteers:

Do you want to learn about intellectual property, or share your knowledge of intellectual property with others? Are you interested in volunteering your time? If yes, this program is right for you. All experience levels are welcome, whether you don’t know the difference between a trademark or copyright, or you’ve spent the past 20 years advising clients on complex IP matters.

The IP experts at Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman, PC (CLL) are teaming up with the ACC-NYC chapter and Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS), to provide a unique program that includes a one-hour training on trademarks, copyrights and patents, followed by a one-hour clinic, in which ACC members are paired with experienced IP attorneys to provide legal advice to microentrepreneurs and start-up businesses, a majority of which are BIPOC businesses.

Spots are limited.
