Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Georgia

UPDATE: The Robbins Firm and the ACC Georgia Chapter are excited to share that Chris Carr, Georgia Attorney General, will be co-presenting at the July 11 luncheon.  Be sure to register soon.

The ACC Georgia Chapter welcomes Robbins Alloy Belinfante Littlefield LLC (“Robbins Firm”) whose partners, Josh Belinfante and Jeremy Littlefield, will present “Important Laws and Cases Impacting Businesses in Georgia”. This program will explore recent legislation and cases that should be on the radar of Georgia businesses.  This will be an opportunity for any entity doing business in Georgia to better understand the current landscape in areas such as tort reform, contracts, and state laws that impact licensing, permits, deference, and other aspects of doing business in Georgia.

Speakers

Josh Belinfante represents clients in commercial and administrative disputes, and he is one of Georgia’s most knowledgeable attorneys on appellate matters and questions of governmental law and policy. He represents governmental and non-governmental clients, and those in the highly regulated fields of healthcare, gaming, land use, and energy.  Josh brings to bear his experience in all three branches of government, having served as the Executive Counsel or Chief Legal Advisor to Governor Sonny Perdue, Georgia’s 81st Governor (2007-2009), Legal Counsel to the Georgia House Judiciary Committee (2006), and Law Clerk to Judge J.L. Edmondson of the Eleventh Circuit (2004-2005).

Jeremy Littlefield’s practice includes both trial and appellate litigation and focuses on representing corporations and individuals in business disputes as plaintiff and defendant. Jeremy has handled a broad range of litigation, including professional liability, business torts, technology and intellectual property-related torts, real estate litigation, and trust and estates disputes. In addition to state and federal courts, Jeremy also has substantial experience with alternative dispute resolution.

Notes

Attendance is limited to ACC members and their invited in-house counsel guests, as well as prospective ACC members.  ACC membership is open to attorneys who practice law as in-house counsel employees of organizations and who do not hold themselves out to the public for the practice of law.

Thanks to the Robbins Firm, the CLE lunch program is complimentary for the first 130 ACC members who register on-line.  Thereafter, the fee for current ACC members is $25, and, in all circumstances, $35 for non-members, including prospective members.  A CLE credit of one (1) hour is being applied for, and if approved, will be submitted to the Georgia State Bar for attendees licensed to practice in Georgia.

While we understand that some "no shows" are unavoidable, we kindly ask that you please consider our speakers and hosts who have spent a considerable amount of time and resources to put this event on for you before deciding not to attend.  Good attendance helps ensure that ACC Georgia can continue to offer CLE programming and networking events at no cost to our ACC Georgia members.  If you need to cancel, we ask for 48 hours’ notice to georgia@accglobal.com.  ACC Georgia reserves the right to charge a fee for attendees who do not cancel.
