Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC New York City

ACC NYC and Cooley invite you to a CLE seminar to discuss the rapidly evolving frontier of generative artificial intelligence (AI).  As AI tools are increasingly used to augment and enhance human creativity, companies and their in-house counsel are confronting both new opportunities and new and complex risks and challenges. We invite you to join us as we delve into and help navigate the core intellectual property issues arising from the development and use of generative AI tools. There will be a brief question-and-answer session following the presentation.

Topics include:

  • What is generative AI? Latest examples and use cases
  • Potential issues implicated by AI, including copyright authorship, infringement, and fair use
  • Recent developments concerning AI and copyright law
  • Implications of AI for other fields of intellectual property
  • Bias audits and AI in the context of employment law
