Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC Northeast OhioACC NEO and McGlinchey Stafford invite you to attend an in-person CLE, PFAS: The Coming Storm?
Manufacturing processes for several industries use a family of synthetic chemicals called per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Known as “forever chemicals” because they don’t naturally degrade, PFAS can be found in the water, soil, air, and human bodies—virtually everywhere in the world, even Antarctica.
Key industries with significant documented discharges include PFAS production and processing, metal finishing, airports, pulp and paper, landfills, and textile and carpet manufacturing.
The speakers will present on PFAS, what they are, what they do to humans, and the liabilities they create.
