Traps for the Unwary in 2024 - Accommodating Pregnant Workers, Managing Affinity Groups, and Drafting Noncompetes

Kevin Johnson, Erin Jackson, and Chris Bentley of Johnson Jackson will outline several of the employment-law challenges that corporate counsel can expect to face in 2024. They will focus on three main issues:

  • The new accommodation duties created by the Pregnant Workers’ Fairness Act along with what’s hiding in the EEOC’s proposed regulations;
  • Whether the Supreme Court’s new affirmative-action opinion spells doom for affinity groups; and
  • What the likely impact of the NLRB’s attempt to restrict noncompetes will be, and how that affects the drafting of contracts while this battle is ongoing.
