From the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 and Granger's General Order No. 3 in 1865 up through the Act providing recognition as a federal holiday in 2021, Juneteenth has a rich cultural and legal history in our country. Join us as Judge Suzanne S. Cook, Circuit Court Judge for Washington County, dives into this rich history in celebration of Juneteenth.
