Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC National Capital RegionThe Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) will go into effect January 1, 2024. The CTA will require “reporting companies” to submit a report to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) containing personal information about the reporting company’s “beneficial owners.” Unless your business is exempt, CTA will affect most businesses. Many businesses and their advisors are behind the curve on preparation and compliance. This program will be a fast paced, engaging overview of the CTA, providing answers to questions you didn’t know to ask.
Compliance with the Act will be crucial for all companies that fall within the scope of the CTA, and noncompliance or inaccurate compliance could lead to punitive civil and criminal penalties.
Join us to learn more about what this could mean for you and your clients' businesses.
Presented by Phil Feigen, DC Office Managing Partner and William Quick, Corporate Transparency Act Chair at Polsinelli, Henrique Canarim, Vice President, Senior Assistant General Counsel at Leidos, together with an additional in-house panelist.
This is for informational purposes only, no CLE will be offered.
