Personal information is currently protected by a patchwork of industry specific international, federal and state legislation whose scope, jurisdiction and notification requirements vary. This can be challenging for organizations that conduct business across multiple states and countries.  This presentation will focus on the compliance complexity and the ethical considerations counsel should be aware when deciding on when they need to notify authorities.
