Overview (Program Summary)
Now that borders have reopened and both employees and businesses are wanting to return to some kind of normalcy as we progress into 2022 – we are currently fielding a lot of questions from employers regarding bringing their employees back to the office. For example, can we do it, how should we do it, and are there any alternatives? We are also seeing some hybrid working approaches introduced that are tailored specifically to their employees.
With a raft of mis-information out there, Law Squared is hosting a webinar for ACC members to come and ask questions regarding bringing employees back to the office and hybrid working options. Hosted by Andrew Brooks and Grace Cue in Law Square's Employment + Workplace Relations team, they will run through the:
- current hybrid working landscape in Australia;
- legal aspects of hybrid working;
- five main hybrid working models we are currently seeing;
- potential risks and pitfalls; and
- step-by-step plan to selecting and implementing your own hybrid working model.

Andrew is committed to helping employers and their management team deal with daily staff issues and complex legal problems as they arise during the employment life cycle: hiring, managing and firing.
Andrew was a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 under 30 Awards 2018.
Andrew was the co-author of the Child Safety Toolkit 2018, which has been downloaded over 100,000 times and aims to prevent child abuse in our community organisations. Andrew also helped Our Community (who represent over 80,000 not for profits in Australia) launch and manage the Not-for-profit Assist Legal Membership Service which now provides legal support to not for profits in a cost-effective way.
Andrew worked as a personal carer for Australian Homecare for over 5 years and is passionate about supporting differently abled people in our communities live prosperous and fulfilling lives.
Grace joined the Law Squared team in early 2018, and now works as a Lawyer in the Employment + Workplace Relations Team. In 2018, Grace graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours)/Bachelor of Laws degree, and has developed a keen interest as an employer advocate over her years at the firm.
In her role, Grace primarily focuses on negotiating, drafting, and developing enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs) for Law Squared's clients in a range of sectors across social and community services, to construction and trades. She also assists with other areas, including reviewing and preparing contracts of employment and contractor agreements, and providing strategic guidance and advice to clients on complex areas of Australian employment law.
Clients have commented on Grace’s keen ability to provide extensive and informed employment law advice in an easy, accessible and plain English manner, and appreciate Grace's technical assistance in what can sometimes be a difficult time for their business.
Outside of the office, Grace enjoys conquering escape rooms around Melbourne, challenging her partner Ryan to a round of trivia, playing with her cat Rosie or catching up on the latest season of Survivor.
