Asha McDermott, Head of Legal, Corporate and Compliance, Fujitsu
Asha is Head of Corporate Legal at Fujitsu ANZ and a member of the Legal Technology and Innovation Committee of the Association of Corporate Counsel. She has worked in global law firms and large companies in Australia, the UK, Europe and the US. She has a passion for innovation and continuous improvement and has been involved in implementing new technology to improve the efficiency of her legal team.
Richard Keenan, Senior Legal Counsel, Fujitsu
Richard is from New Zealand where he qualified as a lawyer in 2004. Richard has worked as a corporate and commercial private practice lawyer in New Zealand and London. Richard also worked as in-house counsel at a UK Telecoms company for 10 years. Richard joined Fujitsu Australia as Senior Legal Counsel in their Brisbane office in Queensland, Australia in 2019.
Douglas Luftman, Deputy General Counsel, Product, IP & Regulatory Affairs, DocuSign, Inc.
Doug Luftman is a seasoned senior Silicon Valley executive, who is Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer for DocuSign, Inc. He and his team are responsible for counseling the company on strategic initiatives related to product development, marketing, partnership, ISV, reseller and technology transactions, information technology infrastructure, compliance, data governance, M&A, innovation protection and government affairs. Prior to DocuSign, Mr. Luftman’s over two-decade career has spanned serving in various executive capacities at companies of all sizes and industries including General Counsel of four Silicon Valley startups; legal executive at NetApp, Inc., a Fortune 500 Silicon Valley storage networking and data management company; CBS, a global media company and Palm, Inc., an early smartphone innovator. Prior to working in-house, Mr. Luftman was an attorney at Fenwick & West LLP, a Silicon Valley law firm, and also externed for former Chief Judge Randall Rader of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Mr. Luftman has globally advised both government entities at the executive, legislative and judiciary levels as well as leading academic institutions, on matters relating to enhancing the national innovation agenda and digital transformation. He also has maintained a longstanding leadership role in the technology community through his involvement with various business, legal, educational and non-profit organizations, where he has been a strong proponent for supporting and improving commercial competitiveness in the U.S. through innovation and supporting science, technology, engineering and mathematics initiatives.
Mr. Luftman has been asked to speak at various prestigious industry and academic institutions, has authored numerous articles and publications and has been quoted in various worldwide publications, on innovation, business and legal issues. His extensive professional accomplishments have been nationally recognized and honored by global organizations and publications including Fortune, Forbes, The Recorder, Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, San Francisco Business Times, Inside Counsel and Corporate Counsel.
Yolanda van den Berg, Head of CLM Solution Engineering, DocuSign
Yolanda is Head of CLM Solution Engineering at DocuSign, focusing on Contract Lifecycle Management and AI. Yolanda has almost 20 years of experience in various different fields including Telecoms, Engineering, IT Development and Pre-Sales. Previously, as a Library Services Engineer, Yolanda worked on Discovery and LMS systems and helped to implement, develop and support solutions for MIT, Boeing, NASA, Lockheed & Martin, Airtel Group and National Australia Bank.
