Overview (Program Summary)

The extended pandemic environment, combined with corporates, private equity firms and investors holding significant capital to deploy, is predicted to lead to a notable increase in distressed investment opportunities for buyers in both debt and equity as well as restructuring and recapitalisation opportunities for businesses.

  • tips on structuring a competitive bid (debt or equity) for a distressed asset; and

Peter Bowden, Partner, Gilbert + Tobin

Peter is a Partner in the Restructuring + Insolvency team at Gilbert + Tobin.

Peter has significant experience advising banks, funds, insolvency practitioners, creditors and debtors in situations involving corporate insolvency, restructuring, workouts, security enforcement, banking and distressed debt transactions.

He has broad expertise across a range of industries including energy, agriculture, mining, mining services, property, construction, technology, financial services and manufacturing.

Peter has significant experience advising banks with workout and enforcement strategies and negotiating settlements.
