The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Australia and Baker McKenzie are hosting the 2022 Commercial Contract Law Series for in-house counsel.

We invite you to join our third webinar on Wednesday 26 October on Unfair Contract Terms: How to manage the unfair contract and unconscionability risks.
In this session Partner, Lynsey Edgar and Special Counsel, Jarrod Bayliss-McCulloch will consider how to manage the risk of unfair contract terms and unconscionability when contracting.
In particular, we will provide:
- A refresher on the unfair contract terms regime, recent cases and the significant upcoming changes
- A refresher on the law relating to unconscionable conduct and review of recent relevant cases
- Practical tips and risk mitigation strategies
Speakers
Lynsey Edgar is a partner in the Sydney dispute resolution team, whose practice focuses on competition and consumer law. She is global co-lead of the Firm's Competition Litigation Taskforce.
Lynsey is recognised in Legal500 (Competition and Trade, Australia, 2022), where she is described by clients as having "high commercial acumen" and providing "clear and commercial merger control advice". Client feedback to Chambers & Partners states that Lynsey is "outstanding in her ability to advise on complex matters".
Lynsey is a member of the Law Council of Australia's Competition and Consumer Committee, and has spoken widely on topics including compliance with competition law and responding to regulatory investigations.
Jarrod Bayliss-McCulloch, Special Counsel
Jarrod Bayliss-McCulloch is a special counsel in the Information Technology & Commercial department at the Melbourne office of Baker McKenzie and advises on major technology-driven transactions and regulatory issues spanning telecommunications, intellectual property, data privacy and consumer law with a particular focus on digital media and new product development. Jarrod joined the Firm in 2009 and his prior experience includes working in strategy consulting and development economics.
