Please join the ACC Georgia Chapter during women’s history month as we examine the evolution of legal careers for women attorneys, the obstacles female attorneys have faced, and the ongoing work to eliminate obstacles to female representation at the pinnacles of the profession. Come hear first-hand war stories from Georgia female attorneys who have faced these obstacles and overcome them.

This program has already been approved for one hour of professionalism CLE credit by the State Bar of Georgia for attendees licensed to practice in Georgia.
Attendance is limited to ACC members and their invited in-house counsel guests, as well as prospective ACC members. ACC membership is open to attorneys who practice law as in-house counsel employees of organizations and who do not hold themselves out to the public for the practice of law.

Speakers
Lisa Lemke joined the Legility team in 2004 as a legal recruiter, and immediately built a broad base of top flexible legal talent. She now serves as the National Director of Talent and Executive Director of our Atlanta market. Lisa solves client’s problems with her expert knowledge of our solutions while helping talented lawyers forge new career paths. With a reputation for understanding the complexities of her client’s needs and going the extra mile for lawyers seeking opportunities through us, Lisa is a trusted advisor to the businesses and lawyers we serve. Prior to joining Legility, Lisa practiced law as a labor and employment law associate at Troutman Sanders and Jackson Lewis. She holds both her degrees, B.A., magna cum laude, and J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia.
When Lisa is away from work, she enjoys playing tennis competitively, reading, socializing with friends, and spending time with her husband and two children. She believes in doing great work, both on and off the court, and fully embraces our dedication to providing fabled service to our clients and lawyers.
Kimberly Lerman is a Talent Manager in the Atlanta office of Legility. She works primarily with attorneys, placing them in a variety of positions in corporate legal departments across numerous industries as well as at law firms. She has worked as a legal recruiter in Atlanta since 2015.
Kimberly spent the first15 years of her career practicing law in Atlanta, which allowed her to gain extensive knowledge of the local legal market. In her last legal role, she served as Vice President & Associate General Counsel for a large company in Atlanta. In addition to seven years of in-house experience, Kimberly also worked as a litigation associate at local law firms, including several years at both King & Spalding and Eversheds Sutherland. Throughout her law firm tenure Kimberly was involved with interviewing law students and lawyers at job fairs, on-campus interviews and onsite interviews. She also was a member of the Hiring Committee at Eversheds Sutherland from 2005 – 2007.
When not working Kimberly enjoys swimming, biking and running, having completed 19 Ironman® triathlons. She is also an avid scuba diver and enjoys hiking, nature photography (including underwater photography), yoga and cooking.
Presiding Judge Sara L. Doyle was elected to the Georgia Court of Appeals in December, 2008 and took office on January 1, 2009. In 2014 and 2020, she was elected to her second and third six- year term. From July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2017, Judge Doyle was the Court’s Chief Judge where she was instrumental in implementing a historic jurisdiction shift of cases from the Supreme Court and the addition of a new fifth division adding three more judges to the Court, and funding and design of the new Nathan Deal Judicial Center. Judge Doyle has also sat by designation on the Supreme Court of Georgia and on Georgia’s State-wide Business Court.
Born in Dallas, Texas, Judge Doyle lived in several states before entering the University of Florida where she graduated in 1990 with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. In 1994, she graduated cum laude from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law where she was a member of the Mercer Law Review. Judge Doyle was admitted to the Georgia Bar in June 1994 and began her legal career as a civil litigator with Wilson, Strickland & Benson, P.C. Just prior to taking office, she was an equity partner with the national law firm of Holland & Knight, LLP where she practiced law with a focus on education issues since August 2000.
Judge Doyle is involved in many professional, civic, and religious organizations. She is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Judicial Council of Georgia, the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, the National Association of Women Judges, the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers (GAWL), the Gate City Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA), and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, where she held the position of President in 2012-2013 and was a member of the club’s executive committee from 2003 to July, 2013.
Farah Carter Spainhour has worked with three Fortune 100 companies and a national law firm. She is currently a corporate attorney for UPS at its Atlanta based corporate headquarters supporting various areas related to commercial contracting, M&A and strategic ventures, privacy and compliance. Prior to UPS, she was Chief Counsel for McKesson Corporation and Change Healthcare, a spinoff of McKesson Corporation’s healthcare IT businesses. Before joining McKesson, Farah spent more than 12 years at Turner Broadcasting System where she served in both business and legal counseling roles. Farah began her legal career with Atlanta law firm Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy as a Corporate Finance associate.
As a community volunteer, Farah serves as a Board Secretary and Trustee for Trinity School and Trustee for Atlanta International School, is an alumna of the FBI Atlanta Citizens Academy (FBIACA), and is a member of the Buckhead-Atlanta chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. Further, she periodically serves as an Outreach Volunteer Alumni Link for Stanford University. Farah formerly served on the Board of the FBIACA, the Executive Committee, as Corporate Secretary for the Board of the Center for Puppetry Arts, and as President of the Trinity School Parents Association. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University, and a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Tulane University’s Law School.
