ACC GeorgiaJoin ACC Georgia and Morris, Manning & Martin (MMM) whose IP attorneys, Daniel Sineway, Partner, Dan Huynh, Partner, and Ashley Klein, Associate, and Akarsh Belagodu, VP of Litigation & Intellectual Property at Verifone, for an insightful presentation on how to address real-world IP issues. This interactive presentation will cover:
- Best practices when positioning your patent and trademark portfolio for your business, size and industry
- Dealing with cybersquatters and confusingly similar domain names
- Standing up to patent trolls
- DO’s and DON’T’s of online advertising (e.g., Google AdWords)
- IP licensing tactics
- Making your IP recession-proof
Attendance is limited to ACC members and their invited in-house counsel guests, as well as prospective ACC members. ACC membership is open to attorneys who practice law as in-house counsel employees of organizations and who do not hold themselves out to the public for the practice of law.
Thanks to Morris, Manning & Martin, the CLE lunch program is complimentary for the first 130 ACC members who register on-line. Thereafter, the fee for current ACC members is $25, and, in all circumstances, $35 for non-members, including prospective members. A CLE credit of one (1) hour is being applied for, and if approved, will be submitted to the Georgia State Bar for attendees licensed to practice in Georgia.

He represents companies of all sizes in various technology sectors including wireless telecommunications, e-commerce, and financial payment systems. Dan also advises clients on the creation, development, and management of IP portfolios and the acquisition and exploitation of IP rights through licensing or litigation. |

Ashley Klein focuses her practice on trademark matters and intellectual property litigation. She routinely supports clients with identifying, protecting, and enforcing their U.S. and international intellectual property rights. Ashley has experience handling intellectual property disputes, particularly patent and trademark infringement claims and works closely with foreign law firms, actively assisting clients in Europe, Asia, and South America with their trademark portfolios. |

Akarsh Belagodu is the VP of Litigation and Intellectual Property at Verifone, an organization that provides technology for electronic payment transactions and value-added services at the point-of-sale for companies around the globe. Akarsh was previously Senior IP Counsel at Signify, a world leader in connected LED lighting systems, software and services. |
