Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC National Capital Region

During this presentation, a seasoned panel will discuss the challenges faced by prime and subcontractors in the federal marketplace.  Topics will include effective (back-to-back) flow-down of prime contract provisions, exclusivity restrictions, and appropriately-scoped employee non-solicitation and intellectual property provisions. We will discuss these and other common issues that arise in a prime-subcontractor relationship, the importance of a well-drafted subcontract, review some case studies and provide real-world examples of the good, the bad and the ugly of contract drafting as well as provide our thoughts on best practices.

Presented by Paul A. Debolt, Taylor S. Chapman, and Dismas Locaria, Partners with Venable LLP, Kendall A. Lucas, Principal and Associate General Counsel, and Government & Public Serviced (GPS) Federal OGC Leader at Deloitte, and Christian Scott, Associate General Counsel at Vectrus.
