Overview (Program Summary)

The volume and significance of activism by shareholders of Australian companies continues to rise. Motivated shareholders (both global and domestic) are exercising their muscle to influence corporate culture as well as strategy.

This webinar, hosted by experts from Gilbert + Tobin’s Corporate Advisory team, will explore:

  • the differences between investment and ideological activism;
  • the tools and tactics employed by activists; 
  • recent trends in Australia, the United Kingdom and in the United States including recent case studies; and
  • how to prepare for, and respond to, shareholder activism.

Susannah specialises in mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets transactions, and advising on disclosure, corporate governance and other listing rules matters. She also has experience advising on campaigns by shareholder activists.
