Jon and Abi East will be interviewed by Jonathan Warne, Partner at CMS UK. There will be an opportunity for questions on what will be an insightful and very open discussion about mental wellbeing and its importance to us all. SPEAKERS: Jonathan Warne is one of the firm’s Practice Group Leaders and Head of International Disputes. He has over 30 years of experience in handling complex domestic and cross border disputes. He is known for acting for international clients in significant multi-party jurisdictional matters. He has a track record of success supported by client feedback. Jonathan has worked extensively with General Counsel and has led a GC thought leadership initiative for over ten years. To date, eight substantive reports have been published, the most recent being, “Creating Connections, Bridging Gaps”. Jonathan has featured in the leading legal directories for many years. Legal 500 2021 list him in the Hall of Fame and describe him as “… is rightly regarded as a market leader. He has unrivalled experience in the conduct of “big ticket” commercial litigation. He has a superb tactical brain… and a keen sense of the commercial objectives and imperatives in a matter”. Chambers and Partners 2021/2 describe him as “… a fantastic litigator." "He is commercial, pragmatic and very easy to deal with." He is an Officer of the Inter Pacific Bar Association. Jon qualified as a corporate finance lawyer at Eversheds in London in 1996, before moving in-house in 2000 where he worked in a number of industries before leaving to start work as a consultant in 2018. He is passionate about working to erode the stigma around mental health.
Abi is a senior HR and change consultant with over 25 years’ experience who supports fellow HR professionals to help them deliver on their priorities. She is a strong advocate for helping communicate the lessons she learned in caring for someone suffering from mental health issues.
