Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC EuropeEquity, Diversity and Inclusion for European In-House Lawyers
The renewed push for greater ED&I in business originated largely from the US. While global EDI strategies have had some impact in Europe, we must ask whether our ED&I journey in Europe is the same as that of the US. If not, how can European business and legal leaders carve a path to greater equity, diversity and inclusion for businesses in Europe?
Guided by expert, Felicia A. Henderson, explore how global history and social identity and social inequality in contemporary Europe make EDI strategies increasingly necessary and relevant for European businesses. The presentation and subsequent discussion with ACC Europe board member Kimberly Nuzum and others will cover topics including:
• Similarities and key differences of US and European EDI practice
• Essential terminology for expanding beyond gender to a broader understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion broadly
• Common challenges when adopting EDI initiatives in Europe
• Research-based benefits of greater diversity and inclusion for European business
• Strategies for integrating EDI principles into local contexts in Europe
