In this webinar, we will provide an overview of the prohibitions against anti-competitive horizontal and vertical agreements, and issues around the exchange of commercially sensitive information. These principles will be applied in the practical context of common commercial arrangements such as distribution agreements. SPEAKERS: Partner and Head of Competition – Asia Adelaide Luke leads the firm's Competition, Regulation and Trade practice in Asia, and is based in Hong Kong. She is familiar with many of the competition law regimes in Asia, including China and various South East Asian countries, and has previously practiced in London and Brussels. Adelaide has been ranked in leading legal directories for many years. Adelaide is currently ranked as "Leading Individual" in Chambers and Partners, and "Next Generation Partner" in Legal 500. She is qualified in Australia, Hong Kong, England and Wales, and Ireland. Senior Associate- Herbert Smith Freehills, Hong Kong Howard Chan is a Senior Associate in HSF's Competition, Regulation and Trade team in Hong Kong. He is an expert in the Hong Kong Competition Ordinance, and is familiar with many regimes around the world, including China, European Union and various South East Asian jurisdictions. Howard frequently advises on large, cross-border transactions, including on merger control aspects and on substantive competition law concerns. Howard has also advised many clients on internal and regulatory investigations, as well as compliance, particularly in relation to complex multi-jurisdictional matters.
