Overview (Program Summary)

ACC Greater PhiladelphiaWe are excited to gather on September 30, 2021 from 6-7pm EDT for our virtual Magic & Mentalism event. This show is all about influencing your decisions. Our performer is a mentalist and magician who has performed off-broadway in New York City, for theaters around the country, and completed a TED talk on interactive performance. You've seen rabbits pulled out of hats... now see hats pulled out of rabbits (figuratively of course!)
It is best if everyone can arrive about 5 minutes early if possible. This ensures that the show starts on time, but also it gives everyone a moment to get comfortable and chat with each other.
If you can, please bring to the event:
- A standard deck of playing cards, or have a stack of about 10 extra index cards on hand. You can draw cards on them or just label them by random playing card names; 9 of clubs… king of hearts, etc.
- 5 index cards or note cards, and write something fun on each card. For example, maybe draw holiday themed items on each one like a snowflake, a candy cane… Or if you want to keep it simple, you can also label the note cards 1, 2, 3, - whatever you want! Or, you can use 5 playing cards instead… but keep in mind they will be ripped up! Uno cards also work.
- A pen or a Sharpie
- A sticky note, sheet of paper, extra index card… something to write on. The notes app on your phone is sufficient, too.
- Ideally, a table in front of you that you can shuffle cards on or deal cards onto.
This will be a great event to bring the kids and get them involved. Who knows? You may be called on to come up to the 'stage'.
