Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC WashingtonAs the COVID-19 pandemic quickly spread across the US, almost overnight the legal profession moved to a work-from-home model. It’s been difficult for lawyers and their teams to deal with the logistics of remote work, and to balance those concerns with the demands of family and community. Yet there’s an additional challenge to navigate—the new, and sometimes surprising ways that working from home can cause lawyers to run afoul of the rules of professional responsibility. In this program, we’ll discuss the relevant ethics rules—including providing competent representation, protecting client confidences, and supervising others—and how to comply with those rules while working remotely.
This program is pending Ethics credit in the states of CA, IL, NY, TX and WA
