Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC AustraliaThe toll the COVID-19 pandemic has taken on the financial, physical, and mental health of so many has been something none of us could have imagined six-months ago. While some in-house lawyers have found themselves without a job or on reduced hours, the vast majority are still working, only now from their homes, and under even higher levels of stress then previously experienced. While paid workload has increased in response to the changing regulatory and employment landscape, so too has childcare and domestic labour. Meanwhile, de-stressing methods, such as attending a gym or socialising outside of small groups, are no longer an option.
If ever there was a time for mental health to be handled with care, now is it!
In this webinar, Paul Garth (Account Director, Vario from Pinsent Masons) will engage with Workplace Mental Health Advocate and Award-Winning Senior In-house Lawyer at Spark (NZ), Grant Pritchard, to unpack the challenges felt by in-house legal teams at this time. Together they will talk through what we’re seeing in management strategies as we collectively adapt to the new environment and care for the mental health of teams while maintaining high productivity through this trying time.
This webinar will tackle the topic of stigma and provide tips on how to maintain a sense of privacy and security in dealing with whatever struggles you or members of your team are experiencing. This will not be a talk that reruns the normal fix for managing anxiety such as getting sleep, eating well, meditating, and exercising. We all know what we “should” do – but let’s get real about what we “can” do and share practical tips on how to manage differently in this changing time.
The session will leave you with a greater sense of normality and start you imagining the possibilities ahead in the brave new world.
