A program hosted by:
ACC MinnesotaJoin Baker McKenzie and the Association of Corporate Counsel Minnesota Chapter on Thursday, November 5, for an Economic and Global Markets Discussion featuring economist Doug Neimann, ACC MN members and Baker McKenzie practitioners, followed by an at-home wine and non-alcoholic beer tasting led by Bill Coy.
Keynote speaker Doug Neimann will kick off the program with an insightful dive into what some alternative data sets and financial markets might be telling us about what’s next for the virus, the global economy, and consumer behavior, highlighting:
- The Healthcare response, the economic hit, the market impact, and the policy response
- Whether market prices are at odds with economic growth and fundamentals
- How people are moving around in the time of the pandemic and the impact on “Stay at Home” vs. “Open Up” sectors and companies
We will then invite our panelists, ACC MN members Brenda Furlow, Bio-Techne's General Counsel, and Amy Dahl, The Toro Company's General Counsel, as well as Baker McKenzie's partner Maurice Bellan, to lead a Q&A session and panel discussion with active participation from our virtual audience.
Switching gears, Minnesota-based wine critic Bill Coy will set the tone for the second part of the program, leading a tasting experience of wines and zero-alcohol beers by Hairless Dog, a Wisconsin-based company Bill helped launched recently.
We are happy for your spouses/family to join us and hope you enjoy closing the day with us!
