30 minute webinar series: The cold light of day – strategies to position your business for the future

The spread of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) poses many challenges but also opportunities for business around the globe.

This time represents a disruption without parallel in recent time, but leaders must rise above the daily news feed and bring focus to "Three Rs" - resilience, recovery and renewal for their businesses.

Acknowledging the challenges in the days and weeks ahead - there is opportunity now to reshape strategy and activities for the coming months and years.

Join Baker McKenzie as they host two panel discussions, moderated by founding Partner of Citadel-MAGNUS, a former Business Editor of Sky News and Reporter with Channel 9’s Business Sunday Program, Helen McCombie.

These webinars will be open and interactive discussions, with attendees encouraged to submit questions to the panelists.

Webinar 1: Resilience and Recovery

This discussion will focus on the trends we’re seeing in capital raising and preservation, recent activity in the debt market, and how businesses are activating defensive measures to position themselves for the future.

Other topics of discussion will include:

  • eligibility and impact of government stimulus and support packages;
  • evasive action that businesses are undertaking, and examples of how firms are making changes now to avoid formal insolvency procedures or potential takeovers in the long term; and
  • market movement and predictions for the coming months.

If your company/organisation is deemed to be a competitor of the host organisation for this event, you may be excluded from attending this event. If you believe there may be a conflict or are uncertain, please enquire with ACC Australia.
