Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC National Capital Region

In the Fall of 2019, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the formation of a Procurement Collusion Strike Force (PCSF) aimed at “deterring, detecting, investigating, and prosecuting antitrust crimes, including bid-rigging and price fixing conspiracies that undermine competition in government procurement.”  As the PCSF nears its first anniversary, this program will review the operational background of the Strike Force, including its objectives and the kinds of issues and business practices that could draw the PCSF’s scrutiny.

The panel will review the PCSF’s investigative track record over the past year and discuss possible priorities for the coming year.  The program will address legal risks and consequences, as well as suggestions to prevent your company and personnel from engaging in the types of anti-competitive activity the PCSF is investigating.

Presented by John Pachter and Cormac Connor, Members of Smith Pachter McWhorter PLC, U.S. Attorney G. Zachary Terwilliger (Eastern District of Virginia) and founding member of the PCSF and Patricia Becker, Deputy General Counsel at Chemring Group, Inc.
