Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC National Capital RegionNow more than ever, companies face pressure to identify and balance competing interests and obligations in an increasingly integrated global economy. On the one hand, it is a commercial imperative to leverage the best talent, wherever located, and to consider the cost savings associated with relying on less expensive labor markets worldwide; on the other hand, national-security related regulatory requirements may restrict where and how a company can use foreign employees or employees located outside of the U.S. All of this comes with an antidiscrimination overlay and requires balancing the commercial and regulatory considerations.
Join us for a webinar to talk through some practical pointers and best practices related to managing a global workforce, including regulatory issues and anti-discrimination requirements and how those apply to foreign persons and work overseas, issues arising from a remote workforce, travel restrictions, and immigration. Additionally, we will discuss how all of these issues are being impacted by the global pandemic.
Presented Adelicia Cliffe and Nicole Simonian, Partners with Crowell & Moring LLP and an in-house panelist.
Moderated by Kris Meade, Partner with Crowell & Moring LLP.
