Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC EuropeTrade secrets and know-how represent an essential commodity for many businesses. It is therefore in the interest of every business to safeguard its precious trade secrets and know-how adequately.
The protection of trade secrets and know-how requires careful planning and demands awareness of possible issues.
After the success of our last seminar on contract negotiation, Lydian, in collaboration with the Association of Corporate Counsel Europe (ACC Europe), invites you to attend a new seminar focusing on the protection of trade secrets and know-how.
This seminar will be conducted by Stefanie Cool, Legal Counsel at Chevron Phillips Chemicals International N.V., Annick Mottet Haugaard, Partner at Lydian, specialized in Commercial, IP & Litigation, Jo Willems, Counsel at Lydian, specialized in Commercial & Litigation and Jurgen De Vreese, Counsel at Lydian, specialized in Employment, Pensions & Benefits.
During this seminar, the speakers will:
(i) set out the impact of the Directive (EU) 2016/943 on the protection of undisclosed know-how and business information (trade secrets) and the implementation thereof in Belgium by the recent law of 30 July 2018, in particular on your internal organisation;
(ii) indicate which contractual clauses should be included in employment and commercial agreements; and
(iii) demonstrate in a practical way what you should do if (and how you can prove that) someone abuses your trade secrets and how you can prevent this from happening.
Your Country Representative look forward to seeing you there!
